Chiniot: Crackdown on Adulterated Food – Action by Punjab Food Authority

According to Bureau Chief Punjab, Malik Maqsood Chinioti, and the spokesperson of the Punjab Food Authority:

One Khoya (dairy product) unit sealed, case registered; another heavily fined

On the directives of the Director General (DG) Food Authority, Food Safety Teams conducted operations in Bhawana after previously collected samples failed quality testing.

The khoya samples did not meet the standards set by the Punjab Food Authority. Previous warnings were ignored, and multiple violations of food safety laws were found.

Inspections revealed poor hygiene conditions and the presence of insects in the production unit. A case has been registered against those involved in food fraud.

Strict action is being taken against individuals deceiving consumers and engaging in food adulteration.

Following the orders of the Chief Minister Punjab, all resources are being utilized to eliminate the adulteration mafia.

Food business operators are directed to strictly comply with the prescribed regulations. No leniency will be shown in case of violations.

Citizens can report any food-related complaints by calling 1223.
