The national vaccination campaign against cervical cancer is actively underway in District Chiniot under the theme “Healthy Daughter, Healthy Future.”
Deputy Commissioner Safiullah Gondal visited Government Girls High School, Satellite Town, to review the progress of the campaign.
According to the Deputy Commissioner:
- So far, 5,529 girls aged 9 to 14 years have been vaccinated.
- The campaign will continue until 27th September.
- The target is to vaccinate 99,044 girls across the district.
He emphasized that the HPV vaccine is safe, effective, and completely free of cost. With just one dose, girls can be protected from cervical cancer, a life-threatening disease.
The vaccine is being administered at schools, health centers, and special campaign camps.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to parents, teachers, scholars, community leaders, and citizens to actively support the Health Department in this national cause.
