Crackdown Against Adulteration in Chiniot

In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the directives of DG Punjab Food Authority, Muhammad Asim Javed, a strict crackdown against adulteration is underway in Chiniot.

Under the supervision of Deputy Director Operations, Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, food safety teams inspected 42 milk carrier vehicles and 109 food points across the district. Several food outlets were issued improvement notices, while serious violations of food safety regulations resulted in fines totaling Rs. 82,000.

Milk shops were penalized for poor-quality milk, while meat shops faced heavy fines due to unhygienic conditions and violations of health standards. Additionally, authorities confiscated and destroyed 2 kg of expired products, 5 kg of rotten fruits, and 1 kg of prohibited ingredients to ensure public safety.
