Chiniot – Director Livestock Faisalabad Division, Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr, along with Additional Director Livestock Chiniot, Dr. Atta Subhani, and Deputy Director Livestock Chiniot, Dr. Muhammad Wajid, visited veterinary institutions and the cattle market in Chiniot district.
During the visit to Patraki and Mathroma Post-Flood Relief Camps, the Director reviewed staff attendance and checked the arrangements for the care of flood-affected animals. He instructed the staff to provide maximum facilities to farmers affected by floods. Farmers expressed complete satisfaction with the timely support and services of the Livestock Department.
At the Civil Veterinary Dispensary Harsa Sheikh, he inspected OPD services, staff presence, and available facilities. In Chiniot cattle market, he emphasized special focus on Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) monitoring. Fortunately, no infected animals were reported. On this occasion, tick and fly control spray was also carried out to prevent the spread of diseases.
Farmers appreciated the efforts of the Livestock Department, calling the facilities encouraging in such difficult times.
Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr said that the top priority of the Livestock Department is the proper care of flood-affected animals and timely assistance to farmers. He further added that vaccination drives and post-flood relief activities are continuously being carried out across flood-hit areas of the division.
