nterior Minister Orders Inquiry After Police Chase Ends at Islamabad Press Club

Talal Chaudhry stated that some members of the Kashmir Action Committee were holding a protest when the police attempted to arrest them, chasing them as they entered the Islamabad Press Club premises.

In response to the incident, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered an internal inquiry to determine the circumstances and responsibility behind the police action.

The incident has sparked significant controversy and condemnation from journalist organizations, who view the police presence at the press club as a violation of press freedom. The government’s inquiry is expected to reveal whether standard protocols were followed during the police operation.
