Islamabad — According to reporter Sadat Ahmad Abbasi, well-known political and social figure Furq Khan Khokhar stated emphatically that he and his supporters “will not hesitate to lay down their lives” over the words that have led to FIRs in India. He observed that although the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ passed away 1,400 years ago, his followers across generations remain ready to make the ultimate sacrifice in his defence. “The Prophet ﷺ is dearer to us than our lives and property — it is part of our faith,” he said.
Addressing the media alongside Sadat Ahmad Abbasi, Mr. Khokhar described the Prophet ﷺ as the community’s ideal and reaffirmed that there can be no compromise on the finality of Prophethood or the honour of the Prophet and his companions. He condemned reports of coercive practices in India where Hindus and Muslims are allegedly forced into idol worship, calling such acts contrary to basic human rights.
“At home we uphold the rights of minorities and do not force anyone,” he said. “Do not assume our faith is weak. Islam teaches peace, but it also teaches resistance when necessary. Coexist peacefully and allow Muslims to worship freely so the world may see your positive side.” Mr. Khokhar reiterated his readiness to defend the finality of Prophethood and the honour of the companions at all times, adding, “If I must give my life, I am prepared to do so.”
Deputy Bureau Chief Wajid Abbasi of Royal News, who attended the event, described the issue as extremely serious and stated that nothing is greater than the Prophet ﷺ. He expressed solidarity with Furq Khan Khokhar and thanked Sadat Ahmad Abbasi and the media for their coverage.
