Chiniot (Report by Punjab Bureau Chief Malik Maqsood Chinioti): In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to resolve public issues through practical measures, District Police Officer Chiniot Dr. Naveed Atif organized an open court (Khuli Kacheri) at the DPO Office. During the session, the DPO personally listened to the problems and complaints of citizens and issued on-the-spot orders for immediate redressal. He directed the Complaint Cell to ensure effective follow-up and submit progress reports. Dr. Naveed Atif stated that the doors of his office are always open for the public and encouraged citizens to approach him directly without hesitation or any recommendation in case of police-related issues. He added that citizens can also lodge police-related complaints from home by calling the Complaint Cell at number 15. The DPO further informed that he hears public complaints daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM during the open court hours. He assured that prompt justice at the police station level will be ensured and that maintenance of law and order, equal enforcement of the law, and timely delivery of justice will be guaranteed at all costs.
