School Meal Program Launched in Chiniot Under CM Punjab’s Vision

Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the School Meal (MEAL) Program has been formally launched in Chiniot. Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan inaugurated the program by distributing milk packs among primary students at Government Girls Primary School and Government Primary School Jadeed-1, Mohalla Garha. She also completed student enrollment under the meal program and ensured milk packs were provided to children for consumption. CEO Education Azhar Sohail Niazi, DO Elementary Muhammad Ismail, Deputy DEOs, AEOs, and head teachers were present on the occasion. The Deputy Commissioner stated that the program will significantly reduce the effects of malnutrition among students, adding that transparency and cost savings have been ensured through competitive tendering. She further said that on the directions of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, special focus is being given to remote districts. Under the program, around 60,000 students from 353 primary schools in the district will benefit, with milk packs distributed three days a week and biscuit packs on one day.
