Islamabad: A powerful suicide bomb explosion struck Imam Bargah Qasr Khadija-tul-Kubra in Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad, causing heavy casualties and widespread panic in the area.

According to initial reports, hundreds of people sustained serious injuries in the blast. Rescue teams immediately shifted the wounded to nearby hospitals to provide emergency medical treatment. Sources indicate that the number of fatalities may be higher, while many victims remain in critical condition.

The explosion was so intense that windows of nearby buildings were shattered, spreading fear and chaos among residents.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, SSP Operations, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies reached the site promptly and cordoned off the area. Security forces have launched an investigation and begun collecting evidence.

Authorities confirmed that the attacker has been identified as Yasir, and his identification card details have also been recovered. Further investigations are underway to determine the network and motive behind the attack.
