In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, practical steps are being actively implemented across the district to prevent traffic accidents and promote road safety.
The Traffic Police Chiniot organized a road safety awareness seminar at Masomeen College to educate students about traffic laws and responsible driving practices.
The seminar was attended by DPO Dr. Naveed Atif, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan, DSP Traffic, police officers, college staff, and a large number of students.
During the session, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif delivered a detailed multimedia briefing highlighting traffic rules, road safety measures, and the importance of careful driving. Students were informed about common causes of accidents and ways to ensure safer travel.
Special emphasis was placed on the mandatory use of helmets for motorcyclists during travel to prevent serious injuries.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan urged citizens to strictly follow traffic laws and make their journeys safe and secure.
Meanwhile, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif stated, “A helmet guarantees not only your safety but also the happiness of your family.”
He further advised that underage children should avoid driving, and individuals above 18 years of age must obtain a valid driving license before getting behind the wheel.
The seminar concluded with a pledge to promote traffic discipline and reduce road accidents through awareness and responsible behavior.
