Following the directives of CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police have implemented comprehensive and coordinated security arrangements in view of the current situation.

A continuous process of strict checking and screening is underway across the city, covering more than 1,600 hotels and over 350 transport terminals. Authorities are ensuring thorough security inspections of transport vehicles, including verification of drivers and staff, vehicle searches, and close monitoring of suspicious individuals.

Police are also actively raising awareness among drivers, conductors, and passengers regarding precautionary security measures. Citizens are being advised to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police helpline.

Enhanced surveillance has been ensured at bus terminals, including CCTV coverage, monitoring of entry and exit points, and effective deployment of security personnel. Additionally, strict verification procedures are being carried out for individuals staying in hotels.

Rawalpindi Police have reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains their top priority, and all possible measures are being taken to ensure foolproof security across the city.
