According to a report by Bureau Chief Punjab Malik Maqsood Chinioti, Rescue 1122 demonstrated an active and timely emergency response on the first day of Eid ul-Fitr in Chiniot, attending to numerous incidents across the district.
Rescue teams responded to a total of 37 road traffic accidents, in which 52 people were injured. All injured individuals received immediate medical assistance.
Out of the total victims, 27 were shifted to hospitals due to their critical condition, while 25 were provided first aid at the scene and discharged. The injured included 39 men and 13 women.
Statistics revealed that the majority of accidents involved motorcyclists, with 43 cases reported. The primary causes of these accidents were identified as over-speeding and violation of traffic rules.
Despite the festive occasion, Rescue 1122 personnel remained committed to serving humanity and ensured prompt response to every emergency call.
District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan stated that the protection of life and property is their top priority. She also urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures, especially during the Eid holidays, to avoid accidents.
