Chiniot (Asia Citizen News): According to a report by Punjab Bureau Chief Malik Maqsood Chinioti, Wasiq Abbas Harl, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), conducted a surprise visit to Government Girls Primary School Waris Abad to review educational standards, facilities, and the government’s nutrition program.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Ismat Jalal and Saima Bashir. The inspection included direct interaction with students, where questions were asked regarding the Chief Minister Punjab’s biscuit and milk program. The overall academic standards of the school were also thoroughly assessed.
Wasiq Abbas Harl expressed concern over the absence of a security guard and janitorial staff for the past two years, terming it a serious administrative lapse. He further highlighted the shortage of classrooms, inadequate Early Childhood Education (ECE) facilities, and lack of basic amenities as issues requiring urgent attention.
He immediately summoned officials from the education authority and directed them to resolve all shortcomings on an emergency basis.
Despite the challenges, he appreciated the performance of Headmistress Shagufta Yameen and the school staff, noting that maintaining a high standard of cleanliness with limited resources was commendable.
He reiterated that ensuring quality education and provision of all basic facilities for students remains a top priority, adding that negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
