Pakistan has warmly welcomed the arrival of a high-level delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, which reached Islamabad to participate in the highly significant “Islamabad Talks.”
The distinguished Iranian delegation is being led by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, accompanied by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The visit marks an important diplomatic engagement aimed at promoting dialogue and long-term regional stability.
The delegation was formally received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Also present on the occasion were Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, reflecting the importance Pakistan attaches to these talks.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed hope that all parties would engage in the negotiations in a constructive and positive spirit. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to continue facilitating dialogue between the concerned sides in pursuit of a sustainable and durable resolution to the conflict.
Pakistan’s role as a responsible regional stakeholder and peace facilitator once again came into focus as Islamabad hosted this crucial diplomatic engagement, which is being closely watched at the international level.
