Saddar Bairooni Police launched a major operation against individuals accused of violating the Fireworks and Sound System Act during a wedding ceremony, resulting in the arrest of 24 persons.
According to police sources, the operation was carried out after reports of excessive fireworks and the use of unauthorized sound equipment, which was causing disturbance to nearby residents and violating public peace regulations.
During the raid, police seized two speakers, a music maker and mixer setup, fireworks material, and five vehicles, all of which were taken into official custody from the scene.
Authorities confirmed that formal cases have been registered against all detained individuals, and they have been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
Police officials further stated that the accused will be presented before the court with solid evidence through formal challans.
Commenting on the operation, SP Saddar Anam Sheikh said that individuals who disturb public peace by violating the Fireworks and Sound System Act and disrupt the comfort of citizens will not escape the grip of the law.
The action is being viewed as part of the police’s broader campaign to ensure compliance with public safety laws and maintain peace during social events.
