Authorities in District Chiniot have intensified efforts to combat dengue, with comprehensive operations underway in Chiniot, Bhowana, and Lalian to prevent the spread of the disease.
According to details, under the directions of CEO Health Dr. Saqib Munir, the Health Department has launched effective and coordinated measures, including detailed dengue surveillance activities to ensure early detection and timely control.
Health teams conducted Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) at public places and markets, aiming to reduce the breeding of dengue mosquitoes and provide a safer environment for citizens.
In addition, larviciding activities are being carried out extensively, targeting mosquito larvae at an early stage to stop their growth and prevent further spread.
Officials stated that these proactive measures are part of a comprehensive strategy to minimize the impact of dengue and control any potential outbreak effectively.
Citizens have also been urged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and avoid stagnant water, as public cooperation remains essential in eliminating dengue.
The ongoing campaign reflects the administration’s commitment to protecting public health and ensuring a dengue-free environment across the district.
