In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts to promote community policing are ongoing.
DPO Abdullah Ahmed held an open court at Jamia Masjid Ghousia Qamriya, Lalian, after Friday prayers. DSP Lalian Circle, SHO Lalian Police Station, Complaint Cell Incharge, and other officers were also present.
The DPO listened to citizens’ issues, assured solutions, and briefed them on people-friendly policing and improved public service delivery. He stated that listening to people’s problems in mosques is a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and the purpose of such gatherings is to reach the citizens directly and resolve their problems.

He added that citizens can report social and moral evils as well as criminal activities. All available resources are being utilized to improve public service delivery. Citizens may report any problem or crime by calling 15.
Local residents appreciated this initiative of holding open courts in mosques.
