Chiniot: Police Crackdown on Drug Dealers Under “Drug-Free Punjab” Vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif

According to Punjab Bureau Chief Malik Maqsood Chinioti, a large-scale crackdown against drug dealers is ongoing across Chiniot in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, under the “Drug-Free Punjab” campaign.

Bhowana Operation
SHO Police Station Bhowana, Sub-Inspector Rizwan Ali, along with ASI Mehdi Shah and their team, conducted a raid based on secret information. During the operation, a drug dealer (M) was arrested.

Police officials confirmed that 1,200 grams of heroin, worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, was recovered from the suspect’s possession. A case has been registered against the accused at Bhowana Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

DPO Abdullah Ahmad’s Statement
DPO Abdullah Ahmad stated that a special campaign against drug dealers is being carried out across the district. He emphasized that standard investigation procedures are being ensured so that offenders face strict punishments.

The DPO further appealed to the public:

“If you witness drug dealing in your area, please report immediately by calling 15.”
