Major Crackdown by Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority in Chiniot

The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), Chiniot, has carried out a major operation against illegal hoarding.

During the raid at Thathi Bala Raja, officials recovered 963 illegally stored wheat bags, weighing a total of 48.15 tons. The estimated market value of the seized stock is around Rs. 2.889 million.

According to SDEO PERA, strict action will be taken against those involved in hoarding essential commodities for the purpose of overcharging. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that no one is allowed to exploit citizens by creating artificial shortages.
