Bhakkar: Inaugural Session of Islah Consortium and Two-Day Conference Successfully Begins at Thal University

The inaugural session and two-day conference of the “Islah Consortium” titled “Foundations of Teaching Excellence, Innovation and Entrepreneurship” commenced with great success today at Thal University Bhakkar.

The conference is being organized under the Islah Consortium — a collaborative initiative of five major universities of Punjab: Government College University Lahore, University of Education Lahore, Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan, University of Kamalia, and Thal University Bhakkar.

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellors from leading universities of Pakistan and Syndicate Member Mr. Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena. A large number of distinguished guests, political and social leaders, district administration officials, teachers, researchers, and members of the local media also attended the event.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Thal University Bhakkar, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, said:

“This is a historic and new beginning for our young university. Through such collaborations, we are paving the way for a brighter future for this region and empowering the youth of Bhakkar.”

The two-day workshop marks the first milestone in the practical journey of the Islah Consortium, aimed at enhancing teachers’ professional skills, improving academic standards, and promoting innovation and research culture.

On the second day of the conference, Vice Chancellors will hold a direct interactive session with the students of Thal University to provide guidance on education, research, and new employment opportunities
