During the meeting, both sides held a detailed discussion on matters related to the welfare of the Pakistani diaspora, particularly the Pakistani community residing in Japan.

Key issues discussed included NADRA documentation matters, vehicle-related concerns, the repatriation of mortal remains to Pakistan, and property disputes faced by overseas Pakistanis.

Hafiz Mehr Shams informed the chairman that these issues had also been raised during an earlier meeting in 2025, where several matters related to the transportation of mortal remains were jointly resolved through mutual coordination.

He further stated that a detailed discussion had already taken place before the chairman’s recent visit to Japan, and the same issues were also revisited during his own current visit to Pakistan.

Hafiz Mehr Shams highly appreciated the chairman’s recent successful visit to Japan, describing it as a major source of encouragement and confidence for the Pakistani community abroad.

He also acknowledged and thanked the chairman for his dedicated services and continuous efforts for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.

On the occasion, Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman BoG, OPF, reaffirmed his commitment that he would continue all possible efforts for the betterment, facilitation, and welfare of expatriate Pakistanis worldwide.

The meeting is being viewed as an important step toward strengthening diaspora engagement, institutional coordination, and welfare support for Pakistanis living overseas, especially in Japan.
