In a major action against land encroachment, the district administration of Chiniot, under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and in line with the Punjab Government’s vision, successfully retrieved valuable government land from illegal occupants.
The operation was carried out by the Revenue Officer along with the Circle Girdawar and Patwari staff, targeting individuals involved in unlawful occupation of state land.
According to officials, more than 217 kanals of government land located in Chak No. 137 JB, Tehsil Chiniot, was recovered from encroachers. The total value of the land is estimated at approximately Rs 90 million (9 crore).
Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan stated that the cultivated crops on the illegally occupied land have also been confiscated in favor of the government.
She further emphasized that the operation against land mafia will continue without interruption, and strict action will be taken to protect public property.
The ongoing crackdown reflects the administration’s commitment to eliminating illegal encroachments and ensuring lawful use of government land across the district.
