Rawalpindi Police Crack Down on Crime, Arrest Kidnapping-for-Ransom Suspects

Rawalpindi (Ijaz Shah): Acting on the directives of CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani and DSP Syed Azhar Shah, a strong operation was carried out by SHO Police Station City Abdul Rehman under the leadership of SI Irfan Riaz. During the operation, police arrested accused Wahab Ali son of Nizam Din, resident of Baraf Khana Chowk Chakri Rawalpindi, and Saleem Ahmed Kiani son of Shakoor Kiani from Prime Court, Tehsil and District Muzaffarabad. The arrests were made in connection with Case No. 22 dated 13-01-2026 registered under sections 365 (kidnapping for ransom), 394/412, and 337-FI. Police also recovered Rs. 35,000 from the accused. Further investigation is underway and raids are being conducted to arrest other accomplices. Residents and traders of the City area welcomed the efforts of SHO Abdul Rehman and expressed hope and best wishes for the restoration of lasting peace and order. Due to continuous police action, criminals and illegal elements have left the area. SHO Abdul Rehman assured the public of maintaining law and order, while citizens and traders appreciated his dedicated efforts.
