Chiniot (Report by Punjab Bureau Chief Malik Maqsood Chinioti):
In line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision to address the energy crisis through practical and sustainable solutions, Chiniot Police has taken a commendable step to improve transport facilities for police personnel.
As part of a special welfare initiative, Chiniot Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yadea Nizam Autos to provide electric bikes to police officials on easy installment plans.
The signing ceremony was held at the DPO Office, where District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif and CEO Farooq Nazir formally signed the agreement.
According to DPO Dr. Naveed Atif, under this arrangement Yadea Nizam Autos will provide electric bikes to police personnel on convenient installment terms, enabling them to access affordable and eco-friendly transport facilities.
CEO Farooq Nazir stated that under the MOU, 40% of the amount will be paid as advance, while the remaining balance will be paid in interest-free easy installments, making the program financially manageable for officers.
Dr. Naveed Atif further emphasized that the police department is committed to ensuring all necessary welfare measures for police officials and their families, and this initiative is another major step toward improving their quality of life and operational convenience.
The move is being seen as a forward-looking welfare and green mobility initiative, promoting both energy efficiency and staff welfare in Chiniot Police.
