In line with the Punjab Government’s vision and on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Ayesha Rizwan, the district administration carried out a major anti-encroachment operation against illegal occupants, successfully retrieving valuable government land.
The operation was led by Revenue Officer Ghulam Abbas Tariq, accompanied by the Circle Girdawar, Patwari staff, and Para Force personnel.
During the action, the administration successfully recovered more than 97 kanals of government land in Mouza Shari Awan, which had been under illegal occupation.
According to officials, the total value of the retrieved land is estimated at Rs 70 million (7 crore).
All illegal constructions built on the government land were demolished during the operation, while the cultivated crop on the encroached land was also confiscated in favor of the government.
The district administration stated that such actions will continue to ensure the protection of public property and strict enforcement of land laws.
The operation is being viewed as a strong step toward eliminating land encroachments and safeguarding state assets in Chiniot.
