Four-Member Honey Trap Gang Busted by New Town Police in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: New Town Police have carried out a successful operation against a four-member honey trap gang operating in the city, arresting all accused including a woman.

According to police, the gang had looted Rs 28,000 in cash, along with a national identity card and an ATM card from a citizen. The looted items were recovered from the arrested suspects. Police also recovered a mobile phone used for honey trap activities from their possession.

Investigations revealed that the gang used to lure citizens by offering fake job opportunities, then trap them, record videos, and later blackmail the victims to extort money.

SP Rawal Saad Arshad stated that the arrested individuals will be challaned to court with solid evidence to ensure they receive punishment according to the law. He emphasized that those involved in exploiting citizens will not escape the grip of the law.

Police have further stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover any additional victims or accomplices linked to the gang.
