Chiniot (Report by Punjab Bureau Chief Malik Maqsood Chinioti): The funeral prayers of national hero Martyr Syed Zohaib Hassan Shah son of Syed Tasawur Hussain Shah were offered with full military honors in his ancestral village Moza Turbat Haji Shah amid deeply emotional scenes. A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute, while the coffin wrapped in the national flag was shouldered by soldiers. The atmosphere was filled with slogans of “Allahu Akbar” and “The death of a martyr is the life of the nation,” as every eye was tearful. Officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army and Police, along with a large number of citizens, notables of the area, friends, relatives, and family members attended the funeral and paid rich tribute to the great sacrifice of the martyr. Later, the Qul ceremony of Martyr Syed Zohaib Hassan Shah was held at his in-laws’ residence in Mohalla Shah Burhan, Chiniot, where a large gathering including Mian Imran Mujawar, Adnan Mujawar, Ustad Hassan Rajput, Haq Nawaz Kalay Khan, journalist Ali-ul-Murtaza Chaman, social figures, relatives, and local residents participated. Special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and patience for the bereaved family. The supreme sacrifice of Martyr Syed Zohaib Hassan Shah will always be remembered, as he laid down his life for the homeland and brought pride to the entire nation.
